VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The International Republican Institute (IRI) is currently recruiting an Administrative Assistant/Program Coordinator (AA/PC) for its office in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The AA/PC position provides a full range of administrative and programmatic support for all IRI’s programs in Mongolia.

IRI is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing democracy worldwide. Since 1992, IRI has been active in Mongolia, supporting the development of parliament, political parties, civil society, local governments and an active, engaged citizenry.
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in political science, international development or related field.
- At least one (1) year professional experience in general office support and translation.
- Demonstrated professional experience translating technical documents from Mongolian to English and English to Mongolia.
- Fluent in English and Mongolian, including strong writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a multi-task environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of ICT tools and SharePoint desirable.
Primary Function and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs and drafting reports on IRI programs.
- Interpreting/translating from English to Mongolian and vice versa in official meeting and through written correspondence.
- Promoting IRI’s work on social media (e.g. Facebook and Twitter).
- Providing efficient and timely action on administrative matters.
- Preparing correspondence and program outreach materials.
- Coordinating travel arrangements and logistics for staff and trainer travel.
- Drafting weekly news clips on relevant political developments and current affairs
- Supporting events and activities of the program team on request
- Other duties, as assigned.
